Resistance and Ohm's law

Resistance measures how much a component opposes the flow of current. A bigger resistance means less current for the same voltage.

These are handy when you know the resistance and only one of current or voltage.
:::tip in Ohm's law is the voltage across that one component, and is the current through that same component — not the supply values, unless the component is the only thing in the circuit. In multi-component circuits, match each , and to the same component. :::
