Use the real papers

NZQA publishes every past Scholarship Calculus paper, its schedule, and an examiner's report, on the Scholarship Calculus page.
We do not reproduce them here — go to the source, which is free and always current.

Sit one question under time, 45 minutes, no notes, no restarting. Scholarship is as much a stamina test as a maths test.
Mark it against the schedule, then read the examiner's report for that year and find the paragraph about your question.
Rewrite your answer in full, incorporating what the report says was missing. The rewrite is where the learning happens.
Keep a running list of the reasons you lost marks — most students find the same two or three reasons repeat.

Any Level 8 objective can appear, so revise across the whole course, not just the Calculus externals.
Our existing notes cover the underlying content — work back through Level 3 and, for the algebra and trigonometry that Scholarship questions lean on, Level 2.
When you revise a topic, ask yourself: "what would this look like joined to another topic?" That is the question the examiners are asking.
