Bivariate Data

Bivariate data is data on two numerical variables measured on the same units — and this standard (AS91581) is about investigating whether they are related. You make a scatter plot, describe the relationship (trend, strength, form and unusual points), fit a linear model, and use it to predict — while being clear about interpolation vs extrapolation and that association is not causation. You also need to describe and interpret in context and judge whether the linear model is appropriate.
